Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport (GDRT) — three-year contract providing specialist traffic engineering support, covering general transportation planning, evaluation of traffic impact studies, traffic signal designs and training of personnel.

Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality — assistance with the evaluation of traffic impact studies on behalf of the Council.

Various Traffic Impact Studies

Project engineer and manager over 25+ years for 500+ traffic impact assessments — regional shopping centres, casinos, residential, office and mixed-use developments, including schools and places of childcare.

Traffic Monitoring

Monitoring and classification of heavy vehicle traffic along the N4 and N1 at 3 weigh stations on behalf of Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire (Pty) Ltd.

Traffic Signal Designs

Design of new traffic signals and/or settings for a variety of signalised intersections (200+), including standard traffic signals, pedestrian signals and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) signals.

Integrated Public Transport Systems

Mangaung IPTN
Specialist traffic engineer responsible for the strategic traffic impact assessment of the proposed Mangaung IPTN system — evaluating expected impact along corridors and main intersections, assessing intersection safety and designing required signal settings.

Rea Vaya Phase 1B Design Review
Review of preliminary traffic signal designs for Phase 1B of the Rea Vaya BRT system in Johannesburg and calibration of settings following construction — responsible for review and amendment of designs for approximately 40 signalised intersections.

Parking Investigations

Parking demand investigations at shopping centres, office developments and mixed-use developments — specialist input into on-site parking layouts, traffic circulation, delivery vehicle manoeuvring and pedestrian movement.
